National Pedigree Whippet Racing Association 1st Championships
The sun shone on what was the most eagerly awaited event in the Pedigree Whippet Racing calendar, and we weren’t disappointed. From the positive feedback we have had so far, it seems the NPWRA was much needed, and is here to stay. Thank you to everyone who sponsored weight groups, donated money, prizes, and raffle prizes, and also to those who helped on the day to make it a great success.

Entries for the very first NPWRA Championship meeting have now closed and we are very pleased with the entry of 135 dogs. Last night the draw was held and today the programme is being drawn up. That's going to be followed by a lot of activity with printing & collating of programmes.
The weather forecast for Sunday is pretty good & the First NPWRA Championships should be a memorable and historic day for Pedigree Whippet racing with good competitive racing. There will be catering van in attendance and 2 raffles - one for adults & one for children. There has been a huge vote of support for the NPWRA & the organisers have been overwhelmed by the generosity of so many people with offers of help, raffle prizes, donations, trophies, etc. It's amazing just how much has been achieved in only a few short weeks.
Sunday will be the first opportunity for racers to join the NPWRA and Membership forms will be available on the day (also available from the Secretary).
